Dean of the Faculty of World Politics at Moscow State University.

Mr. Kokoshin is a State Duma Deputy and deputy head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma. He graduated from Moscow Bauman Higher Technical School and holds a post-graduate degree from the Institute of the United States and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He holds a Ph. D. in History and is an associate member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. From 1992 to 1997, he served as Deputy Minister of Defense; 1997-1998 – State Military Inspector, Secretary of the Defense Council, Secretary of the Security Council; 1998-1999 – acting Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Mr. Kokoshin is President of the Russian Association of Innovative Development.
