On Monday, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin gathered the Cabinet to review the results of 2008. Businessmen thanked ministers who kept state reserves, Business FM reports. RSPP vice-president Igor Yurgens approved of the cabinet’s work. According Yurgens, “They did not allow the financial crisis to culminate into a panic. The financial system works, banks exist, people understand what is happening. One of the hugest mistakes is failure to forecast the depth of the crisis. But the whole world failed to do it that is why it is unreasonable to blame government”.
